Join the Åland
Aquaculture Week 9-12 October and influence the
future of the Baltic Sea Region's aquaculture! The event will offer
a platform for cooperation and networking among different
stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region's aquaculture industry, such
as policy makers, feed manufacturers, fish and mussel farmers.
Discussions will focus on ways towards a sustainable development of
the region's future aquaculture. The Åland Aquaculture Week is a
collaboration between the projects Aquabest and SUBMARINER.

Session 1: Closing the nutrient loop: using Baltic Sea raw
material in fish feed
- Day 2
Session 2: Legal incentives for adapting a Baltic Sea diet in
fish-farming
Session 3: What is needed from different sectors to establish a
Baltic Sea nutrient loop? Group work session
- Day 3
Session 4: Mussel farming in the Baltic Sea - prerequisites and
possibilities
Session 5: Mussel farming equipment for harsh conditions
- Day 4
Session 6: Mussel farming workshop including excursion to
Åland Government mussel farm. The registration for the mussel farm
excursion on day 4 has been closed due to the limitation in the

Please submit your abstract for poster presentation (Word file,
max. 250 words) on one of the above mentioned topics to petra.granholm@regeringen.ax

The event will take place at Alandica Culture & Congress House,
Strandgatan 33, AX-22100 Mariehamn, Åland.

By ferry:

Kapellskär, Sweden (with bus connections to Stockholm); Helsinki,
Finland; and Turku, Finland (night ferries calling at Långnäs at
approx. 30 km distance to Mariehamn).
